These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the website of AM Services Inc. ("AM Services," "we," "us," or "our") at amservicesinc.ca, the estimates we provide, and the electrical services we perform. By using our website, requesting an estimate, or engaging us to perform work, you ("you," the "Client") agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our website or services. Please also review our Privacy Policy below.
1. About Us & Licensing
AM Services Inc. is a family-owned electrical contractor licensed by the Electrical Safety Authority (ECRA/ESA Licensed Contractor #7012319) and carrying liability insurance and WSIB coverage as required by law. All electrical work is performed by, or under the supervision of, licensed electricians in accordance with the Ontario Electrical Safety Code and applicable regulations.
2. Estimates, Quotes & Scope of Work
We provide free, no-obligation estimates. We price by the project: after assessing the work, we provide one price for the scope described. Estimates are based on the information available and the conditions visible at the time of assessment, and are valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise. The scope of work is limited to what is expressly described in your estimate or work order; anything not listed is excluded.
3. Changes, Extras & Concealed Conditions
Older wiring, hidden damage, code deficiencies, or other conditions that are not visible during the estimate ("concealed conditions") are common in electrical work and cannot always be foreseen. If concealed conditions, changes you request, or code-required work are discovered, we will inform you and obtain your approval for any additional work and price ("change order") before proceeding, except where immediate action is required for safety.
4. Payment Terms
- A deposit may be required to schedule larger projects or to cover materials and permits; the amount will be stated in your estimate.
- Unless otherwise agreed in writing, the balance is due upon completion of the work.
- Accepted payment methods will be confirmed on your invoice.
- Overdue accounts may be subject to interest at 2% per month (26.82% per annum) from the due date until paid, and you agree to pay reasonable costs of collection.
- Title to any materials or equipment we supply remains with AM Services Inc. until payment is received in full.
5. Cancellations & Rescheduling
Please give us at least 24 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule a booked appointment. Cancellations with less than 24 hours' notice, or work cancelled after materials have been ordered or work has begun, may be subject to a charge covering our time, restocking and any non-returnable materials.
6. Workmanship Warranty
We warrant our workmanship to be free from defects for one (1) year from the date the work is completed. If a defect in our workmanship arises within that period, we will repair it at no charge to you. This warranty does not cover:
- Supplied equipment, fixtures, or devices, which carry their own manufacturer warranties;
- Normal wear and tear, or damage from misuse, abuse, accident, or acts of nature;
- Work altered, repaired, or added to by anyone other than AM Services Inc.;
- Pre-existing wiring, equipment or conditions not installed or replaced by us; and
- Issues caused by power surges, utility problems, or circumstances beyond our control.
This warranty is in place of all other warranties, express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
7. Permits & ESA Inspections
Where required, we obtain the applicable ESA permit and coordinate inspection of the work. Permit and inspection fees may be included in, or added to, your estimate as disclosed. You are responsible for providing accurate information about the property and any prior electrical work.
8. Client Responsibilities & Site Access
You agree to provide safe, timely and reasonable access to the work area; to disclose known hazards (including asbestos, mould, or prior unpermitted work); to keep people, pets and valuables clear of the work area; and to ensure the area is reasonably free of obstructions. Delays or additional costs caused by inaccessible or unsafe conditions are your responsibility.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law: (a) AM Services Inc. is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, including loss of use, income, or profits; (b) our total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to a project will not exceed the amount you paid to us for that project; and (c) we are not responsible for damage arising from pre-existing conditions, concealed conditions, materials or equipment supplied by others, or work performed by other trades. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.
10. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless AM Services Inc. and its owners, employees and agents from claims, damages or expenses arising from your breach of these Terms, your provision of inaccurate information, unsafe site conditions within your control, or the acts or omissions of you or third parties you engage.
11. Lien Rights
AM Services Inc. reserves all rights available to it under Ontario's Construction Act, including the right to register and enforce a construction lien for amounts owing for work performed and materials supplied.

Website content is provided for general information only and does not constitute professional advice for your specific situation. The content, design and logo on this website are the property of AM Services Inc. and may not be copied or reused without permission. Reviews shown are those of our customers. Links to third-party sites are provided for convenience and we are not responsible for their content.
13. Dispute Resolution & Governing Law
We would rather resolve any concern directly — please contact us first and we will work in good faith to make it right. These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, and you agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ontario. Any claim must be brought within the limitation period set by Ontario law.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms at any time by posting a revised version on this website. The "last updated" date reflects the current version. Your continued use of our website or services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

Data Retention & Security
